same time

"Same Time" is an 8 by 18 foot quilted fabric that explores my family history through both a Polish and American lens. I was interested in how prosperity versus its absence existed on the different sides of my family over five generations. The main fabrics are dyed with MX dyes and then printed on using different imagery from family photos. The prints were layered on top of each other sporadically, alluding to how only glimpses of our family histories are clear to us as well as to the inherent entropy of the factors that lead up to our existence and growth.
